EU Sustainable Energy Week is the annual flagship event uniting policy makers, authorities, industry, stakeholders, NGOs, researchers and academia in the European sustainable energy sector.
With 64 sessions and more than 2,500 participants EUSEW debated energy policy, created networking opportunities and spread the word about the latest developments on the sustainable energy market and in research focused on this year’s theme – ‘Lead the clean energy transition’. On this occasion MBFSZ organised a policy session „DECARBONIZATION OF THE HEATING AND COOLING SECTOR: COUPLING EFFICIENCY AND RENEWABLES WITH SECURITY OF HEAT SUPPLY” where more than 160 people registered. In addition to addressing the role of biomass and waste-to-heat, the main focus of the session was on geothermal energy, where the latest results of the DARLINGe project were also presented. The Session keynote was given by Ms Eva Hoos, Policy Officer, Renewable Energy Unit, DG ENERGY.
